India’s first woman IPS officer, distinguished social activist, and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Kiran Bedi is renowned for her transformative policing and prison reforms. Joining the Indian Police Service in 1972, she has served with distinction across various capacities, including introducing pioneering reforms at Tihar Jail that earned her the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1994. Beyond her police service, Dr. Bedi has been a United Nations Police Advisor, an author, and a dedicated social reformer focused on education, drug rehabilitation, and women’s empowerment through her NGOs Navjyoti and India Vision Foundation. She is a role model for leadership, accountability, and service.


Dr. Harsh Vardhan
Former Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare,
A distinguished medical practitioner and public health leader, Dr. Harsh Vardhan is an accomplished ENT surgeon and former Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Science and Technology, and Environment in India’s central government. Known for his proactive role in India’s COVID-19 response and leadership in global health forums, Dr. Vardhan has represented India as Chairperson of the World Health Organization Executive Board. His medical expertise, combined with his seasoned political service, including multiple terms as Member of Parliament from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, position him as a thought leader in health policy and innovation.
